Business Manager - Wollongong / Sydney

About you You understand the importance of healthcare and want to play a part in facilitating access to treatments that improve peoples' quality of life. You are a confident communicator, highly organised, and a stickler for detail.

About the role The Business Manager is responsible for the planning and execution of tactics on behalf of our clients - including pharmaceutical companies and heath service organisations.

You will develop strong relationships with our clients by ensuring all deliverables are executed on time, on budget, and to the highest possible standards. You will also be committed to understanding our clients' products and services, and the challenges they face with engaging key stakeholders.

Reporting to the Managing Director, your day-to-day responsibilities include –

  • Managing expectations: developing and maintaining project plans and budgets; implementing weekly status meetings with clients.

  • Stakeholder engagement: liaise with clients, consultants, and vendors to progress activities.

  • Project implementation: individually and/or collaboratively working on executing projects according to plan.

  • Collateral development: traffic materials through editorial review and graphic design.

Skills and experience

  • Bachelors Degree in health sciences and/or relevant experience (marketing or communications-related degrees may be considered)

  • 2+ years experience in project or account management

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) - including the ability to translate highly technical information for a lay audience

  • Creative problem-solving skills

  • Able to work independently, and thrive in a small team environment

  • High attention to detail and accuracy

  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

You are expected to have a general understanding of the Australian healthcare landscape including the roles of the TGA, MSAC, and PBAC in managing access to healthcare treatments and services. An understanding of the principles and legislation that govern pharmaceutical and medical device promotion and education will be highly regarded, but training will be provided as needed.

This is an office-based role with occasional travel to Sydney required. Sydney-based applicants will be considered. Benefits and perks
